About this Record
An exquisite slice of lush sunshine vocal pop from 1968, The Anita Kerr Singers deliver sophisticated soft-pop arrangements on this Canadian vintage pressing of Warner Bros. 7161. Arranged and conducted by Anita Kerr and produced by Dick Glasser, this 7-inch 45 RPM single showcases the group’s transition from their famed Nashville vocal harmony style into late-60s baroque and soft psychedelic-tinted vocal pop.
Side A features their breezy and intricate vocal rendition of “No Salt On Her Tail” (written by John Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas), taken from their acclaimed 1968 Warner Bros.-Seven Arts album All You Need Is Love (WS 1724). Side B presents the charming, mellow pop tune “All This (He Does To Me)”, penned by Buzz Clifford. Housed in a vintage Warner Bros. company paper sleeve, this Canadian pressing is an essential pickup for soft rock, easy listening, and sunshine pop collectors.
