About this Record
A remarkably rare Brazilian promo 7-inch single by 6a. Dimensão (Sexta Dimensão), issued in 1969 by Polydor Brazil (CSPN 51.056). Labeled as a Disco Promocional / Venda Proibida Ao Publico, this single represents a prime slice of late-1960s Brazilian groover sound, blending upbeat Jovem Guarda, pilantragem, and early Brazilian soul aesthetics.
Both tracks were penned by celebrated Brazilian composer and musician Edison Trindade (co-writer of Wilson Simonal’s massive hit “Não Vem Que Não Tem”), alongside Tomca on the A-side. Pressed by Companhia Brasileira de Discos in Rio de Janeiro, this original promo compact is an elusive artifact of Brazil’s fertile pop/soul crossover era, coveted by crate diggers and Brazilian groove collectors worldwide.
