About this Record
Released in 2006 on Japan’s Unchantable Records (under Orange Records), this infectious 7-inch single is a floor-filling club jazz / Shibuya-kei crossover classic produced by Groove Unchant. Side A features Japanese vocal lounge ensemble Pecombo lending their upbeat scats and harmonies to Armando Trovajoli’s iconic theme from the Italian caper film Sette Uomini D’oro (Seven Golden Men). Backed with the uptempo dance groove ‘Break the Guinness’ co-produced and mixed by Tomonao Tanaka (gouache), this release captures the stylish, retro-cinematic revival energy that remains beloved among crate-digging DJs worldwide.

「どこの国のレコードかなと思ったら、日本でした。」
(Wife’s thought: Judging by the retro blonde model on the sleeve, I assumed it was some obscure European vintage pressing… Nope, made in Japan.)
