About this Record
Released in 2002 on the cult Tokyo indie label Escalator Records via its Punka Music imprint, White EP. by Losfeld is a prime artifact of Japan’s post-Shibuya-kei electronic and indie pop underground. Housed in a stark, conceptual minimalist white sleeve featuring a tonal cross motif, the record embodies the sleek graphic design and forward-thinking sound curated by Escalator Records in the early 2000s. Featuring lush synthesizers, melancholic electro melodies, and club-ready grooves, this release is an essential piece for collectors of Japanese 2000s indie electronic and neo-Shibuya-kei vinyl.
