About this Record
Kaede, renowned as a member of the acclaimed Niigata-based idol trio Negicco, released Stardust in Blue (Japanese title: 秋の惑星、ハートはナイトブルー。) on vinyl in November 2020 via T-Palette Records. Co-produced by Taiyo Someya of the revered indie pop group Lamp alongside composer Hirohide Kadoya, this album is a masterclass in modern Japanese dream pop, City Pop-adjacent soft rock, and Shibuya-kei aesthetic sophistication. Kaede’s sweet, delicate vocals float effortlessly over lush analog arrangements, gentle bossa rhythms, and intricate chord progressions that Lamp fans will instantly recognize.
